It’s Been A Minute

So, the last post I made was about the beginning of my journey on a two week road trip. And then, I posted nothing. It wasn’t my intention to leave things hanging, but I got called back to work. And with that, came endless hours of overtime. I’m not sure what it is, but Las Vegas is booming right now. I am so happy that I was able to return to work, but missed posting on my blog. My intent for this blog was to be able to record my travels and share with family and friends. I am by no means a true expert, but in my circle, some would say I am. I have finally begun to write again, with work slowing down a bit, and am so happy about this.

Just me taking a selfie in Capitol Reef National Park.

Before I continue posting from my summer trip, I have a few other things I would like to mention.

This wasn’t even all of my clothing luggage.

I felt like I rushed through some of these locations

I was working on a limited budget, and was also a bit unsure if I was going to like this trip. I hadn’t taken a solo trip before, and people were making me nervous! If I had the unlimited time again, I probably would have let myself explore each location as much as I had liked before moving onto the next. While I loved capitol reef, I could have done everything in one day had I really planned ahead. I would’ve liked a second day at almost every park, when there’s exceptions to this rule, you’ll hear about it.

Expect updated blog posts

I want to revisit every single one of these places. I’m just not sure I will get to them all in 2021. I have a couple of other journeys on my list this year, that I will be sure to share. I would love to get to Moab this summer, I’m just not sure how feasible that is going to be. I do expect a return to Bryce Canyon this summer.

I want to add other topics to this blog

I want to talk about my faith, and my crafting projects, and all other sorts of things in my life. I feel like this can help my post more consistently, as I can’t be visiting a new park every week, but rather once a month to every six weeks.

I promise you will hear from me very soon! The next set of posts will be from my trip this summer!
