Camping Bug

Hello!

Welcome! I’m Dana and I live for a good camping trip.

My first true camping trip was in April of 2014. I was 20 years old and it was a requirement for my major. Come to find out, I would camp every semester until I graduated. For credit! And sometimes, I camped more than once.

Here I am on the right during my first trip ever!

I have my bachelor’s degree in geology, and being a geologist goes hand in hand with camping. My family would tell you that I was the least likely of us to go outside up until this point. Each trip we took for school became more rigorous academically, but also took us to some gorgeous locations throughout the Southwestern United States. I fell in love rather quickly. Being able to see beautiful rocks while also spending time with friends in the middle of the desert was addicting.

I’m hoping this blog inspires you to plan your next, or first, trip outside! Follow along for my tips and trips!
